About Our Chapter

Welcome to 1005 South Wright!

My name is Kendell MacDonald, Chapter President of Pi Beta Phi at the University of Illinois. Here at Pi Phi, we live each day in pursuit of the ideals that our Founders exemplified: a true sisterhood with well-rounded women. The women of Pi Phi are involved all over campus, and each one of us has different personalities, strengths, and attributes. We have members that are involved in Business and Pre-Medical professional fraternities, philanthropic organizations, sports teams, and more.

Our website provides a glimpse into the life of an IL Zeta Pi Beta Phi. We volunteer at a nearby dyslexic clinic each week, reading with children and promoting literacy for the national platform of Pi Beta Phi: Read. Lead. Achieve. At Pi Phi, we believe in balance. We love staying up late studying in the kitchen, ordering food, and watching movies together. Additionally, we often have themed “exchanges” with other campus organizations, take crazy pictures, and make memories that will last long after college. We host our own philanthropy events each semester, as well as support those of other houses. All that we do together fosters our individual growth, as well as strengthens our bonds of friendship. I hope that exploring our website will inspire some of you to join our sisterhood. We all have one common goal: to make the most of our college experience and influence one another to be the best women that we can be.

Deciding to join Pi Beta Phi at the University of Illinois was one of the best decisions I have made. It has become a second home to me, and I have made some of my best friends here. As a result, I have grown so much. Our chapter is full of unique, inspiring women, and I am truly amazed that I get to be a part of it. The recruitment process at U of I has so much to offer; I hope that you are all inspired to participate. Finally, I wish, more than anything, that the golden arrow of Pi Beta Phi points you to your new home.

PPL&M,

Kendell MacDonald
